Jim Smith, Owner, Auctioneer
Jim Smith spent his entire career in the broadcasting
marketing business retiring in 2000 at age 51 from Clear Channel
Communications where he was a Senior Vice President overseeing the Western
United States as well as Australia, New Zealand and China. An ardent
auction follower and fan of the purest form of marketing, he attended and
graduated from Missouri Auction School at Earth City, Mo. He then
attended and graduated from the Certified Appraisers Guild of America. As
a certified personal property appraiser and auctioneer, Jim is able to
provide the most qualified professional advice in auction marketing.
Jim, Roxanne and sons Barrett and Corey, opened the
Claremore Auction Barn in December of 2004. This state of the art auction
facility seats 260 people in a smoke free, climate controlled building
comprising 6,000 sq. ft. Handicapped approved rest rooms, a spotless full
service concession, four load out garage doors, all padded seats (no
folding chairs) and a magnificent sound system makes Smith Family Auctions
a "must see" on the auction circuit.
As you see in the picture gallery, Smith Family
Auctions takes pride in offering clean modern furniture, beautiful
antiques, some tools, appliances, glassware and collectibles. Watch for
our monthly and sometimes twice monthly sales.
